by Thursday Memo

There are confirmed cases of Strep Throat here at Tritt. It is spread by close contact with droplets from the nose & mouth. Please encourage your kids to wash their hands often. Strep throat is recognized by one or more of the following: sore throat, difficulty swallowing, red throat with white spots or pus, swollen nodes in neck, headache, stomachache, nausea, rash, muscle aches, and fatigue. If one or more symptoms are present, the student should be referred to a healthcare provider for evaluation. If your child is diagnosed with strep throat: he/she should not go to school or be around other children until 24 hours of antibiotics treatment, be fever free for 24 hours, and is feeling well enough to participate in school activities. Thank you for your cooperation!
